Sooo I finally finished off all the bits and bobs for Vonnies Tea Swap and it’s all packaged up ready for posting ~ I was matched up with Courtney from Lancashire. Things to avoid were chamomile, raspberry and actual mugs and I think I managed :) I managed to include some things in one of her favourite colours though(blue).
I can’t tell if this picture is even big enough to see the details….it’s two Geisha girls pouring tea, set in resin and then backed/edged with white lace ruffles – Picture originally shared by Okinawa Soba on Flickr with a creative commons license ~ although on reading the huge wall of text in his Geisha set, I can’t actually be sure who the photographer is now :s
The brooch is sitting on top of the box I painted for it (painted badly due to tired eyes confusing acrylic with water colour and not being able to find a fine enough paintbrush in the mess).
Everything! – again an awfully small photo for some reason ~
-Blue fancy patterned fabric(animal fibre free for Courtney to be able to handle without aggravating exzema)
-The brooch with box, although it looks like a white blob here!
-Box of Jacksons Green Tea with mint, a flavour I know she already likes :) (Fair-trade too).
-Hand painted teabag(heehee) – 100% natural unbleached cotton, eco friendly and skin friendly. I really wanted to get teatowels or an apron to print but couldn’t find any plain cotton ones and I can’t sew :(
-Jewellery crafty things that she can use to make things with her young daughter, shrinky plastic, friendly plastic, chain, brooch back…bits n bobs!
-Little booklet with instructions for plastic stuff and some minty recipes.
-This is the reverse of the Tea bag I painted the pot and cup on.
A little bit fancier! I made the stencils for the heart and corner shapes from cardboard (plenty lying around after the move) and got the pattern from a lace place mat.
I’m just about to post all this off just now so this entry’ll be friends only until Courtney tells me it’s arrived!
