So the other week, SpoiltCat (the ying to my yang) discovered online that you can see dolphins (DOLPHINS!~) pretty much whenever the hell you want from Aberdeen harbour…so we went and we saw! :D
Took almost FOREVER to get past the boring harbour industrial-y bits and then a massive walk up Victoria Rd before we got to any open space and fresh(ish) air, it’s a real shame that they stick all the stinkiest factories and sewage works near the sea, people should just waste less and not ruin the world/sea for me.
Anyway – we decided to do a longer walk and discover Nigg bay before doubling back and catching the Dolphin point on the way home.

The ruins of St Fitticks and my very first photos with lens flare magic! I was kind of lectured NOT to look at the sun through the camera but after hearing it so many times you just HAVE to do it. Glad I did – would be quite satisfied if this had been the last thing I ever saw :)

There were also stones with pirates on them and the remains of a lodge for folk to keep watch for body snatchers.
Hrm…I was going to write more lengthy, detailed stuff about the trip but it’s boring for everyone else and I’m tired so you can just have some more pictures – none of Dolphins though because I was too busy jumping up and down and shrieking at the time.
