I have been very, very busy indeed. College is even more fantastic now that I’m starting to not stink completely at drawing…it might be sensible to start photographing my sketchbooks/projects in the likely event that I will lose or forget about some of them though.
I’m still enjoying not having to work in my old stinky job and being constantly skint is good for the soul, less take-away pizza but more surf-watching down the beach :)
You’d think that I’d be at a loose end for things to do with my lazy, good-for-nothing self but seriously, there STILL aren’t enough hours in the day for me! It would appear that the less I have to juggle, the more balls I drop. I haven’t made any time for friends, I’m still not 100% caught up on college work, I keep breaking all my promises of making things/doing things/seeing things, my room and ‘creative space’ are both an absolute shambles.
Saying that though, I have watched three seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the space of 2 1/2 days and I’m VERY proud of that. I’ve probably had about 6hrs sleep since Thursday but fuelled by the Buffy and some really shit coffee, I’ve managed to sand and polish around 20 of 50 unfinished jewellery thingums (some of them dating back as far as the Jurassic period/January). If anyone wants to help finish the rest, I’ll teach you how to make them really really smooth :D
Taadaaaa…

These eight have just been added to my Folksy shop.. and the rest shall appear, erm, at ‘some point’ when I get round to photographing them too. :)

Absolutly love them all – I have been dropping hints like there is no tomorrow about your stuff, fingers crossed for xmas!
gorgeous pendants – so do you just sand and polish them or do you varnish too?
Just a lot of sanding and polishing :) Varnish is just really a wasted hassle…you can get a lovely water clear shine if you polish for long enough.
I love the pendants. I’m also very proud of you for watching so much Buffy in such a short space of time. Did you start from the beginning? Or did you get to see the musical episode in series 6. That has to be one of Tv’s greatest gifts.
Amazing.
Really like your newer thin ones, especially the top one, hmm may have to bookmark it on Folksy for when I get a bit of cash in my Paypal account- I emptied it last night! I love buying resin jewellery off other makers, I can appreciate it’s methods :)
Thanks :) I don’t know why I’ve never added many of the rectangular ones to the online shop, it’ll be remedied over the next few weeks…I still have a long way to go to catch up on all those unfinished pieces and I just got distracted by making little cube pendants for children, woops!
@Joe – The Buffy watching has slowed to a standstill but I’ll be starting season 4 tonight…Should be on to that musical episode by Friday no doubt :D
